12 Weeks Round 2

November 27, 2017

I’m currently 12 weeks 2 days and catching a break from the sickness. It’s not a breeze yet but much better than the past few weeks. I can go a few hours without feeling sick from either eating or not eating. Sometimes I don’t know what my body wants. I can begin to envision an actual bump. I’m still struggling to wake up in the morning

How far along? 12 weeks. Seriously where did all the time go? I’d just woken up so my hair is a mess. disclaimer number 2, i really don’t think photography is my thing. This was such a struggle.

Total weight gain/loss: I have gained about 5kgs no kidding. I last weighed 58.5Kgs.

Maternity clothes: I have to go shopping this weekend. I certainly don’t have anything decent to go to work with. Today I’m wearing a dress that wouldn’t fit for ages. I’m glad I hadn’t passed by the tailor.

Stretch Marks? From life haha! Certainly not this baby. Yet. Honestly, I hope I don’t get more but who knows.

Best Moment: Feeling my little wiggler. This week in Bible study, we watched an awesome movie – Facing the giants. I had previously watched it but it was nice watching it again with my safari group members.

Miss Anything: It’s too early to miss sleeping on my stomach, but it’s already uncomfortable. I miss a couple of cloths that won’t fit – mostly tops. I’ve gone with my trousers unbuttoned since week 5. I’m seriously concerned at how big I can get this time round. I miss my weekly “boot camp” – I honestly miss working out. I’m (visibly) missing a few muscles on my legs, arms and obviously the belly.

Movement: Yes. And it’s not gas. It’s my wiggly bean. Could be hiccups but it definitely gets my attention. Honestly, it does feel a little weird. I don’t know how to describe it so i won’t even try.

Food cravings: Sweet and sour chicken. Chocolate. Peppered mangoes. Matoke –cooked bananas & potatoes).

Anything making you queasy or sick: Perfume, any kind. Our bathing soap – oh it sucks. Chicken stewL.

Have you started to show yet: I’m already showing. It’s obviously gas and food, mostly the latter.

Labour Signs: Zero. I thank God the cramps stopped.

Belly button in or out? It’s definitely not in.

Gender: No idea. Sweet things are new this time round so who knows.

Happy or Moody most of the time: I’m okay I guess. I do have moments

Looking forward to: My 1 week trip to Bujumbura on 11th December. My graduation on December 22nd. Another train ride (SGR) to Mombasa with family or ocha ;-). I’m looking forward to resuming exercise at 14 weeks.

Here is us at work today.
